Spiti Valley The Middle Land
Spiti Valley The Middle Land
A journey to Spiti Valley is unlike any other experience in the Himalayas. Often referred to as “The Middle Land,” Spiti lies between India and Tibet, offering a dramatic landscape of barren mountains, deep gorges, ancient monasteries, and timeless villages that seem untouched by the modern world.
Far less crowded than Ladakh, Spiti is a paradise for adventure seekers, photographers, and travelers looking for authentic cultural experiences. Here, Buddhist monasteries cling to cliffs, prayer flags flutter in the mountain winds, and traditional mud-brick villages preserve centuries-old Tibetan heritage.
This 6-day itinerary from Manali takes you deep into the heart of Spiti, where you will explore iconic monasteries, visit some of the highest inhabited villages in the world, and witness landscapes so surreal they feel otherworldly.
